Jis Ne Tumhare Aib Dekh Kar Bhi Tumhara Haath Na Chhoda
Raat ke aakhri pehar ek naujawan apne mobile ki screen dekh raha tha.
Screen par bahut se naam the.
Achanak uske dil mein ek sawaal utha:
“Agar yeh log meri woh kamzoriyan dekh lein jinhein main duniya se chhupata hoon, to in mein se kitne mere saath rahenge?”
Dil khamosh ho gaya.
Kyunki ta’alluq ki asal haqeeqat khushi ke dinon mein nahin, insaan ki kamzoriyon ke zaahir ho jaane ke baad saamne aati hai.
“Tumhare aib jaanne ke bawajood jo tum se ta’alluq qaim rakhe aur tumhari islaah ki fikr kare, wahi tumhara haqeeqi khairkhwah hai.
“Aye imaan walon! Allah se daro aur sachchon ke saath raho.”
(At-Tawbah: 119)
Yahi wajah hai ke Deen mein saalih sohbat ko badi ahmiyat haasil hai. Kitaab humein Haq ka ilm deti hai, magar saahib-e-dil murabbi kabhi kabhi humein apne andar chhupi hui woh haqeeqat dikha deta hai jise hum khud dekh nahin paate.
Sahaaba-e-Kiraam رضی اللہ عنہم ne arz kiya: Kis ke liye?
Kabhi woh baat jo dil ko chubhti hai, wahi dil ki beemaari ka ilaaj ban jaati hai.
Zakhm par dawa lagti hai to jalan hoti hai, magar har jalan nuqsaan nahin hoti; kuch jalan shifa ki ibtida hoti hai.
Aaj hamari nasal ke paas ma’loomaat ki kami nahin.
Mobile mein hazaaron kitaabein hain, YouTube par be-shumaar bayanaat hain, Google har sawaal ka jawaab saamne rakh deta hai, AI chand lamhon mein ma’loomaat faraham kar deta hai.
Magar ma’loomaat aur islaah ek cheez nahin.
Insaan ko apni beemaari ka naam maloom ho sakta hai, magar ilaaj phir bhi zaroori hota hai.
Isi tarah insaan apni ghalti jaan sakta hai, magar use chhorne ke liye tarbiyat aur musalsal mehnat darkaar hoti hai.
Aaj social media ne humein aise logon ka aadi bana diya hai jo hamari har baat par “Yes” kahein.
Lekin agar gaari ghalat simt mein ja rahi ho aur GPS sirf khush rakhne ke liye kahe:
“Perfect! Keep going!”
To yeh rehnumaai nahin, tabaahi hai.
Kabhi ek sachchi aawaaz humein rok kar kehti hai:
“You are going in the wrong direction.”
Aur yahi sachchi tanbeeh zindagi badal deti hai.
Sheikh-e-Islaah ka kaam bhi yahi hai ke woh muhabbat ke saath insaan ko uski ghalat simt dikhaye, use Shariat-o-Sunnat ki taraf mutawajjah kare aur nafs ki islaah mein madad de.
“Yaqeenan woh kaamyaab ho gaya jis ne apne nafs ko paak kiya, aur woh naakaam ho gaya jis ne use aalooda kar diya.”
(Ash-Shams: 9-10)
Asal kaamyaabi sirf duniya mein aage barh jaana nahin; asal kaamyaabi apne baatin ko sanwaar lena hai.
Duniya tumhara libaas dekhti hai, Allah tumhara dil dekhta hai.
Duniya tumhari kaamyaabi dekhti hai, Allah tumhari niyyat dekhta hai.
Isi liye mureed ko kabhi kabhi apne nafs se yeh sawaal karna chahiye:
“Kya main waaqai islaah chahta hoon, ya sirf apni tareef sunna chahta hoon?”
Agar sirf tareef chahiye to log bahut mil jaayenge.
Agar islaah chahiye to aise khairkhwah ki zaroorat hogi jo tumhari khaami dekh kar tumhein haqeer na samjhe, balki tumhein badalne ka raasta dikhaye.
Doctor beemaari batata hai to mareez us se naaraaz nahin hota; kyunki woh jaanta hai ke beemaari chhupana ilaaj nahin.
Magar yahan ek bunyaadi baat yaad rakhna zaroori hai:
Sheikh manzil nahin, manzil ka rehbar hai.
Manzil Allah ki raza hai.
Raasta Shariat-o-Sunnat hai.
Aur saalih Sheikh is raaste par chalne mein islaah-o-tarbiyat ka zariya hai.
Aur Sheikh ma’soom bhi nahin; ismat Ambiya-e-Kiraam علیہم السلام ke liye hai.
Phir kabhi aisa hota hai ke Sheikh ki ek baat nafs ko bahut bhaari lagti hai.
Dil kehta hai:
“Unhon ne mujhe kyun toka?”
Waheen zara ruk kar sochna chahiye:
“Shayad kisi ne meri woh beemaari dekh li hai jise main khud nahin dekh paa raha tha.”
Yahi soch islaah ka darwaaza khol deti hai.
Hafiz Shirazi ka mashhoor sher hai:
Magar jo tumhein Allah ke qareeb kar de, uski qadr karo.
Magar jo tumhari لغزش dekh kar tumhara haath thaam le aur tumhein dobara Allah ki taraf mutawajjah kare, woh ta’alluq mamooli nahin.
Tumhare aib jaanne ke bawajood jo tum se ta’alluq qaim rakhe aur tumhari islaah ki fikr kare, wahi tumhara haqeeqi khairkhwah hai.
Aur agar woh saalih Sheikh-o-Murshid hai to samjho, Allah Ta‘ala ne tumhare safar-e-islaah ke liye ek qeemti ne’mat ata farmaayi hai.
Is ne’mat ko pehchaano, iski qadr karo, aur sab se barh kar is raaste ko Shariat-o-Sunnat ke taabe‘ rakhte hue Allah Ta‘ala ki raza ki taraf apna safar jaari rakho۔
The One Who Saw Your Faults Yet Never Left Your Hand
Late one night, a young man was looking at his mobile phone.
There were so many names on his screen. Friends, companions, people who cared for him… people who were happy when he succeeded, who sent ❤️ on his pictures and said “MashaAllah” to almost everything he did.
Suddenly, a question came into his heart:
“If these people were to see the weaknesses I hide from the world, how many of them would still stay with me?”
His heart fell silent.
Because the true test of a relationship does not come on happy days. It comes when a person’s weaknesses are exposed.
“The one who knows your faults, yet still keeps a relationship with you and truly cares about correcting you—that is your real well-wisher.
“O believers! Fear Allah and stay with the truthful.”
(At-Tawbah: 119)
This is why righteous company has such an important place in Islam. A book gives us knowledge of the truth, but a person of a living heart can sometimes show us a reality hidden inside us—a reality we ourselves cannot see.
He is like a mirror.
A mirror does not hate the faults on your face; it simply shows you the truth.
Sometimes the words that hurt the heart are the very words that begin to heal it.
Medicine can burn when it touches a wound. But not every pain is harmful. Some pain is the beginning of healing.
Today, our generation does not suffer from a lack of information.
There are thousands of books on our phones. Countless talks on YouTube. Google can answer almost every question within seconds. AI can give us information in moments.
But information and reform are not the same thing.
A person may know the name of his illness, yet he still needs treatment.
In the same way, a person may know his mistake, but leaving that mistake requires training, patience and continuous effort.
Social media has also made us used to people who say “Yes” to everything we say.
But imagine a car travelling in the wrong direction, while the GPS keeps saying:
“Perfect! Keep going!”
That is not guidance.
That is disaster.
Sometimes one truthful voice stops us and says:
“You are going in the wrong direction.”
And that one honest warning can change an entire life.
This is also the work of a Sheikh of Islaah: to lovingly show a person where he is going wrong, turn him towards the Shariah and Sunnah, and help him work on the weakness of his Nafs.
“Successful indeed is the one who purifies the soul, and ruined is the one who corrupts it.”
(Ash-Shams: 9–10)
Real success is not simply moving ahead in the world.
Real success is to improve what is inside you.
The world sees your clothes; Allah sees your heart.
The world sees your success; Allah sees your intention.
That is why a Mureed should sometimes ask his own Nafs:
“Do I truly want to improve, or do I only want to hear people praise me?”
If you only want praise, you will find plenty of people.
But if you truly want Islaah, you need someone who can see your weakness without looking down upon you, and then show you the way to change.
When a doctor tells a patient about his illness, the patient does not normally become angry with him. He knows that hiding the illness is not a cure.
Then why should we fear being warned about the illnesses of the soul?
Pride, jealousy, showing off, love of status, anger, uncontrolled desire and excessive love of the world can slowly weaken a person from within.
Fortunate is the person who has someone who can lovingly show him his illness.
But there is one important thing we must always remember:
The Sheikh is not the destination; he is a guide towards the destination.
The destination is the pleasure of Allah.
The road is the Shariah and Sunnah.
And a righteous Sheikh is a means of Islaah and training on that road.
That is why every person cannot be called a Sheikh merely because of fame, appearance or a large number of followers. A Sheikh must have commitment to the Shariah and Sunnah, knowledge, practice, good character and the ability to guide people in the reform of their inner selves.
And a Sheikh is not infallible. Infallibility belongs to the Prophets
The relationship of a Mureed with his Sheikh is not blind devotion. It is a relationship of respect, love, learning and Islaah.
Sometimes a single word from the Sheikh can feel very heavy on the Nafs.
The heart says:
“Why did he correct me?”
At that moment, stop for a while and think:
“Perhaps he has seen an illness in me that I was unable to see myself.”
That thought can open the door to Islaah.
Hafiz Shirazi has a famous verse:
Before searching for the faults of others, we should look at our own faults.
And if Allah has blessed you with a righteous Murabbi who makes you aware of your Nafs, protects you from sin, turns your heart towards Allah and genuinely cares about your Islaah, then value this blessing.
Because the most dangerous condition of a person is not that he has no companion.
It is that he has many people around him, but no one who is willing to tell him the truth about himself.
Many people can keep you happy.
But value the one who brings you closer to Allah.
Many people can praise you.
But listen carefully to the one who worries about protecting you from your Nafs.
Many people may walk away when they see your mistakes.
But the one who sees your weakness, holds your hand and turns you back towards Allah—that relationship is not ordinary.
The one who knows your faults, yet still keeps a relationship with you and truly cares about correcting you, is your real well-wisher.
And if that person is a righteous Sheikh and Murshid, then understand that Allah Ta‘ala has given you a precious blessing for your journey of Islaah.
Recognise this blessing.
Value it.
And above all, keep this journey within the boundaries of the Shariah and Sunnah, and continue walking towards the pleasure of Allah Ta‘ala.
